Welcome

I am a professional bass player based in Leatherhead (Surrey) and available for live gigs, tours, recording sessions, and tutoring.

I have been playing bass for over 20 years and have spent most of those years freelancing as a player for bands and solo artists providing bass for studio, gigs, and tours. I specialise in both fretted and fretless electric bass across a wide range of musical genres and I can play from music, charts, learning a CD of your songs, or "winging it" by ear... however you like to work really!

I have an extensive list of clients (signed and unsigned) which can be provided on request and I have played many large events including Wembley Stadium and the Royal Albert Hall plus several large music festivals... not to mention plenty of the more intimate pubs, clubs, and private function circuits.

During that time, I have also musically directed many of the projects that I have been involved in, and consequently, I also provide coaching/Musical Directing to any bands that want to sound tighter.

I teach bass guitar to people of all ages and ability; from beginner right through to advanced. Whether you are just starting out or have been playing for years and want to develop your playing further, I can help you along the way with tuition that will be fun and tailored to your goals.

Do please browse the pages on the left to find out more about how I would be well placed to assist you in your project; whether that be learning to play, standing in for your bass player for that REALLY important gig which just can't be cancelled (even though he has broken his arm!), or providing you with a bassline for that studio album....

... and don't just take my word for it - check out my testimonials page to see what other people think!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Matt.
